Student Residence

This building is a makeover of MactheKat’s fantastic Campus Madness!

My lot isn’t a University Life dorm, it’s just zoned as residential :)

There’s 8 rooms that all have the same furniture, but when a student moves in,

the room gets a make-over to suit their personality!

Visit the history-page, so the rooms of former students living here.

Natalia’s room

Natalia studies Psychology. She is quite girly, and loves pink! Don’t let her angel looks fool you, though ;-)

Kendra’s room

Kendra loves to read and write, and created a cosy corner in her room, where she can relax and read :)

Amy’s room

Amy didn’t bring that many belongings with her, but she doesn’t need a lot of stuff.

She studies Sports Science.

Lilian helped decorate her room :)

Lilian’s room

Lilian is an artist, and studies Education (she wants to teach art to children).

Everything is a blank canvas to her. Even the walls of her bedroom.

Riley’s room

Ravi’s room

Ryder’s room

Oh darn! I forgot a picture of the door!

Malcolm’s room

Malcolm has a very minimalistic style.

He studies business!

Love that they have the same shape and furniture before they move in, but get to really make it over when they do move in :yahoo: Lucky students! :heartpump:

    • Sara says:

Thank you! It was so much fun decorating their rooms and making them all different :) I can’t wait for more students to move in :giggle:

Damn it! I was supposed to be notified of updates! Apparently “follow” systems hate me.

Anyways, it’s awesome how you changed those rooms to show off the students’ personalities! They are all so different and original. :sigh:

    • Sara says:

Your email is definitely on the subscription-list – maybe it ends up in the spam filter? ( :chuckle: Spam…. )

Thank you, sweetie! I felt like each student deserved a place to call their own ;)

      • Laurabcn says:

Indeed, I just checked and that’s where it was going! Which I think is pretty stupid because I know I’ve had an update of yours getting to my inbox before. :dunno: Anyways, I’ve told it it’s not spam, so it should send your emails where they belong now? :chuckle:

        • Sara says:

Well, I did accidentally spam subscribers with this last update because I “published” it too quickly  So maybe that’s why your email thought it was spam… :chuckle: I am notified via email when there’s a new comment here, but recently it’s been putting those emails in the spam-filter as well…. :brow: I suspects it’s because of a certain chatterbox

YAY! I love Mac’s Student residence and I love how everyone uses it and changes it to their own ideas! And what you did with it is extraordinary as per usual!. Their rooms are all so individual and it their personalities so well. You have a real talent for decorating with a very cozy, homelike feel, Sara-love! Their simlish initials by the doors are brilliant!

    • Sara says:

 Aaaaw, thank you, Kim! I loved decorating these rooms, it was so much fun, and yes, Mac made an awesome and versatile build here :sigh: The Simlish initials might be a little bit childish, but I thought it was cute :giggle:

Woot, what fun to see your student residence!!! I’m using that very same building, so it’s even funnier to see how you arranged the bedrooms. My Simmies are less lucky than yours, though, as they often have to share a room! But they use the very same furniture too! :hi5:
They all did a great job at personalizing their bedroom! Poppy’s is so… Poppy! :giverose:
I love the guys room too!
Oh, now I’im curious about what you’ve done about the common rooms. We can see them a bit when Poppy moves in, I think, but I wouldn’t be against a tour there… :flirty: (ssks the girl who still hasn’t posted her student residence pictures after… huh… TWO years of use? :scared: )

    • Sara says:

Well, that awesome “first line” set you made, Sandy, is just perfect for students, so I had to use it  Your students share rooms? How many sims do you have living in your student residence again?

 Ohh… well… eehhh…. I haven’t done ANYTHING to the common areas :sigh2: I only added the foosball table (or… was that already there? ), and a bit of art here and there… and I made one of the room on the same level as the bedrooms into a laundry area :chuckle: A tour of this place would be so boring! But if you post a tour of yours, I’ll post a tour of mine :cheeky: :cheesy:

    • Sandy says:

      (the “ssks” meant “asks”… I speak english like a snake! :p )

  5. Sandy says:

:hi5: I’ll post a tour of my common rooms! (though… you might have already seen some stuff… :hmm: )
The foostable was already there! I replaced it by a ping-pong table!
I’ve removed a floor of the residence, so there’s only 8 rooms for students, and 4 of them are for 2 students. But I’m not sure to keep it that way… Rooms are really small, when shared (and how Sims can woohoo if they don’t have a proper room! :pardon: ) . Maybe I’ll come back to 1 student per room (that’s even why I had first removed a floor, thinking that I won’t have more than 8 anyway).
How many students do I have this year? Mmm… too late to calculate!

    • Sara says:

 Okay, so I really didn’t do much to the place other than Bimlico-fy the walls! I’m sure seeing what you did with the place will inspire me to do something about it  I also removed the top floor, so also 8 rooms :hi5: But for now, there’s only these three occupants. I have more students, but they live in flats and houses.

  6. Jen says:

Wow, Sara, these look awesome!! You’re so great at personalizing houses and rooms to fit their residents. I love all of the little details and how they have those cool little nook areas for relaxing! (Well, except for Malcolm, since he has his desk in the nook…makes sense for a business major! He’s all business! :chuckle: ) I like that he has a little keyboard, though!

    • Sara says:

 That is exactly what I was going for: Malcolm is all business and likes clean lines, so he doesn’t have the need for a little relax-y nook  (although he does have those family photos.. guess that’s enough cosiness for him :chuckle: ). But Adam needs a place to have his coffee (he has some very late nights studying!), and Poppy is just… romantic Poppy!

  7. Jen says:

Oh shoot, I forgot to ask…where did you get those lovely pictures of Simlish letters??

  8. Lea says:

    Love all the rooms!
Do you like to decorate small rooms with all kinds of clutter, too? :hugs:

  9. Kim(mi) says:

GREAT rooms again! You’re so talented love! :giveheart:

  10. Sandy says:

 Buuuuuuut…. There’s not Lilian’s room yet? (oops, this page reminds me that I had said I’d make a tour of my uni residence… It didn’t happen… :chuckle: )
Ooooh, but we have Marly’s! :girldance: It suits her so well! Quite serious, and lots of books! I think we knew about the others, but I’m not so sure about Ryder’s… :hmm:
Anyway, I love this, old and new! :heartpump: (and I can’t wait to see Lilian’s! :girldance: )

    • Sara says:

Yeah, Marly is a serious girl! Lilian… not so much! She’s still decorating her walls (with graffiti), so we’ll have to wait until she’s ready :waiting:
Milo’s and Ryder’s rooms are new also  But pretty plain and boy-ish!

  11. Lea says:

AWW, I love the new rooms! But Poppy’s is still my favourite!
