High School

HighSchoolLg

Here’s Bimlico’s high school!

It was actually one of the very first buildings I made when I first got Sims 3, which is a little weird since this is not my style at all!

But I was inspired by something on TV, and built the high school, but since then, I never really found the right place for.

I think it fits perfectly here! :yahoo:

The high school has quite an unusual schoolyard – on the roof!

Even though there isn’t much of a schoolyard, the whole canal area is right outside the doors!

This is so awesome! I love the walls – they kind of remind me of Mondrian. They really make the lot, I think. Having a schoolyard on the roof is such a creative idea too. I’ve never seen a school like that but it strikes me as a very urban kind of thing. So cool!

I had to look up Mondrian, but  you are right, I made the high school look exactly like his artworks  Thank you, Carla! :hugs: The building was inspired by a Danish school I saw on TV, but I’ve never seen schools like this IRL either! I agree, it’s very urban, and that’s probably why I was having such a hard time finding the right place for it, but I like it here :)

Oh, it fits perfectly in this area! :heartpump: You know this, because I already said it when I first saw this building, but; I love this so much! It has a unique style, and modern isn’t usually my thing! The schoolyard in the roof is also a very creative idea.

That place is SO awesome! I’m not into modern neither, but it suits so perfectly your Canal district. I love also how you’ve decorated it, with colors reminding the exteriors. I like also how it indeed reminds Mondrian without being totally those bright Mondrian colors. Somehow it makes them more classy and modern. In short: I love! :heartpump:

    • Sara says:

Thank you, Sandy! :hugs: I’m not sooo fond of the interior decorating here, but I wanted to leave it pretty simple, because it will mostly just be used as a shell for the Rabbithole Rug :chuckle: And you know me, if I decided to decorate it fully, it would be totally cluttered with books and papers and knick-knacks EVERYWHERE! :giggle:

I sooooo swear you make me want to redo my school! I love this high school! And even though you might not be too happy with thedecorating, I think it’s great and very high school-y! LOVE!

I looooooooove this school!!! I thought of Mondrian, too, and then of course I thought of the Partridge Family Bus! (I always wanted to have a funky painted schoolbus… :giggle: ) You did such a fantastic job with the colors and design and layout! It looks so modern and quirky, but very realistic…I love the solar panels and the schoolyard on the roof! Now you make me wish I had a modern area in Whimsett Cove… :hmm: (I only have a modern houseboat…that’s it!) Anyway, this school is super-inspiring!!!

    • Sara says:

:spit: Hahahahah, I didn’t know the Partridge Family, but yes, I totally made a high school for their bus

It is really crazy for me to get all this great feedback on this build  it is completely outside my comfort zone to build something like this and I have never attempted it again :dunno:

Oh and what walllpaper did you use there? Is it from the game? :D

    • Sara says:

The wallpaper is definitely from the game… I think from the Pets EP! It looks like something you’d use in a barn :chuckle: But with some recolouring, it can look like this too

  10. Lea says:
