Hmmm, you use Animator for your portraits? I love your portraits! I didn’t think I needed Animator, but maybe I do, lol!

I am really enjoying poking around on your blog, by the way! :D

:grouphug2: Carla! Welcome! And I’m so glad you’re having fun here :yahoo:

I really love the Animator! I also had the pose player at one point, but I can’t really get used to the “freezing” of the sims. With Animator, I make the sims do the animations for their traits, and that’s what I use for their portraits. It is so much fun to have these photoshoots, and you’ll be surprised at how differently the animation can look on different sims. Go for it :pinkcheer:

Glad the animator came up because that’s what I was thinking too! Me and photoshoots don’t get along well (as you can see from my sims CAS pictures and my losey attemps of taking pics for challenges :giggle: ) but maybe I should try it. You know, one think I disabled in awesomemod was the no-smiling in CAS. At first I thought “cool!”, but then I looked at my sims and they we’re like so… liveless. I needed the goofy smiles, else they weren’t my sims. So I feel pretty much the same way about poses. Besides, I love *sarcasm* how natural some of them are. I mean, posing for a photo while standing on one leg, holding the other and placing the other hand in my head is totally something I would do in real life. Even when there are poses out there that are well made, I can’t help feeling they’re too cold for my simmies.

 You are hilarious, Laura. When I have a picture taken, I ALWAYS stand on one leg :pardon:

I really like the Animator, because I can make the sims do their “trait moves” (ehh, I don’t know how else to call it).

Well, I think I’ll give the Animator mod a try too! I’d rather have that than have a thousand poses installed that I never use

Hi Sara, I am really enjoying looking around your blog and I think you have a very beautiful town. I haven’t been playing The Sims 3 for very long and I was wondering what are MOD’s? (I think im a bit behind with all of this extra stuff you can do for your game :) ) :D

    • Sara says:

Hi Katelan  Mods are files that you install in your game to modify it – For example, I don’t like the EA StoryProgression (when your non-active sims around town do stuff on their own, like get married and move out), so I use Twallan’s Mod to make StoryProgression work the way I’d like it to. If you go to the website I linked to above, you can read more about the different mods, and under “interactions” you can see how they work :)

Thank you, also would I just type these into the cheat bar ?
